The Funk n Noise Chenin Blanc called the BAD ASS PIG is a pure mouthful. Our 9-Block grid was inspired by the 9 letters that make up the word SPIDERPIG. This design was the first of our SA Design Label awards and our creative curiosity in looking through the window to find 9 Letters that give the wine a personality relatable to the consumer.

Further inspiration was brought in from a Graphic Designer who become famous in an iconic era, the 1990’s, her name is Paula Scher. Paula was a key figure in making topography cool with Broadway Posters showcasing the shows “Bring in da Noise, Bring in da Funk”. Spider Pig Wines has always focused on ensuring we have a good quality wines, showcasing the cultivar we put in the bottle.

We find good wines, give it a personality to make it easy to enjoy and share with whomever you wish.

Other	The winemaking process is very simple and straight forward to ensure the vineyard terroir is expressed without interference. All grapes are whole bunch pressed, the juice is naturally settled overnight before it makes its way into old oak barrels of different sizes and concrete eggs. There is very minimal intervention in the winemaking process, no additives or fining agents used at all. Naturally occurring yeast and bacteria found in the vineyards are responsible for completing alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. The wine’s age in their respective vessels for 11 months before they are blended. Bottling takes place 6 months after blending to ensure all solids are settled naturally to avoid the need to filter.
